controller conflicting with mouse
At some point, after playing over 20 hours, the view begins to spin around, as if a camera were moving in a circle around the character. I can go to Senu and that view is also spinning; however, I can't esc out of it and have to go to task manager to exit the game.

I know what the problem is: the game suddenly seems to think that I'm playing with a controller rather than a mouse (the "back" icon in the lower corner has a "B" instead of "esc"). I've had this happen with other Ubisoft games and was able to go into options/control etc. and switch from mouse to controller and back. I can't find a way to do that in "Origins". It's very frustrating! I really like the game and would put it alongside earlier AC, especially the one taking place in Renaissance Italy (I forget the title).

I know that I can uninstall and reinstall with my Steam download but am unsure about saving my settings. I've backed them up and would hope that, after reinstalling, progress would continue from the backup point.

So, any suggestions on how to change the game control?

Thanks!

Go to options, controls, then scroll down till you see "Input Device". Then you can use the little side arrows to switch between Auto, M&KB or Controller..

Hope this helps.

thanks for the response! Well, I updated my graphics drivers and that seemed to solve the problem. I checked the control for input device and it's "grayed out" with "auto-switch" as default. I guess if I had a controller installed, that might trigger the switch.

Thanks, again!
