Downgrading equipment

So long story short, I love assassins creed origins. though one of my most major problems with it because im a stickler for these sort of things is: is it possible to downgrade your gear. aka hidden blade, armor, all that sort of stuff.

just cause i really dont want this to be the same case as it was with assassins creed syndicate where you had all the top teir gear but it looks like complete garbage with any outfit that isnt a certain one outfit or set.

in basic terms: if im wearing the hidden ones attire. i want to have the hidden ones armor and equipment teirs. the one with the assassin icon and whatnot on the bracer etc. but sadly im forced to wear the max upgrade version cause... well... yeah i dont think you can downgrade your equipment or change its look at all once its upgraded.

AC2, brotherhood, revelations, unity, syndicate all say diffirently.
