\
\and if ya do you'll need to check your nvidia drivers for one that supports this game

Yep i uninstalled redownloaded/reinstalled the game before i worked out 3D Vision was the problem

never had any game crash with 3Dvision enabled till ACO seems from other threads that v1.2.0 Can Not cope with any driver settings that are not default!

What selections in the Nvidia driver installer do you leave out? Because I unchecked GeForce Experience this time and the game seems to play ok without it.

However, in the past (haven't checked with ACO though) I found out that if left out certain selections in the Nvidia driver installation, games would suddenly NOT work. Even games that didn't support 3D Vision, or ones that had worked perfectly fine with everything installed, suddenly they would refuse to launch without installing that part of the drivers that I had left out (and many of those games didn't seem to need those anyway!).

So, I got in the habit of leaving them checked for installation. After it happened several times, i always installed everything from then on and have had extremely few driver related issues. Leave out something though, and issues cropped up quite frequently..

Hey everyone! I've been seeing this issue with the 3D vision popping up occasionally recently and have reported it to the team to make sure they know this is happening. I will provide you with any updates as I receive them!

Ebon i uncheck all but the driver pack an control panel and i also install the HD audio support so i can watch tv on my 40 in screen ..oh and i always let it update my Physx

.. i unchek
3d vidsion since i do not own a 3d vision kit or supported 3 d monitor
and i never install geforce EXP ..prefer to set my games up manually

if you do have a 3d screeen and the Nvidia glasses for 3 d vision they usually show the recommend profiles and settings in all the Nvidia driver release notes, and it will say if there is a 3 d vision profile available in the driver set for a specific game

Ok, I'll start doing that the next time I update gfx drivers. I used to do it all the time, but had issues as I mentioned. Will see how it goes from now on; maybe it's fixed.

any news on when the game with 3d vision enabled
will work again?

Lacuna Writes on nvidia forums:

I solved the issue, hope it works for you too. Now game is working with 3DV using 384.76 driver for me. So it's not just a game update issue, but also drivers causing issues.

After having issues with latest driver again (monitors don't wake up from sleep with this one too), I installed this old driver again. It's the least problematic driver for me and it prooved itself again with this game.

Edit: Don't forget to delete ACOrigins profile and add the exe to AC Unity profile (or whatever profile you like) with Nividia Inspector for compatibiliy mod.

How do you get this game to work on 3D vision? Is it Compatibility mode?
