Was this only an audio bug or were you not able to finish the quest officially either? If not, try reloading your quest objective in the menu to see if this resets this weird issue.
No, it wasn't really a bug. It probably happened because I completed the main quest first and then went for the area's side quests.. Still, was a bit awkward because I already killed flavius but Bayek's dialogue makes it feel like flavius is still alive during the sidequest
Oh, I see what you mean now. I misunderstood at first. I will definitely still bring this up to the team though as that can definitely mess with your immersion.
In reality, Bayak does this "side quest" before Flavius dies, but Layla, in the Animus, may relive these memories out of sequence.
It's kind of like how nothing stops you from starting the DLC and doing its quests before finishing the main quest, even though it begins four years after the main quest ends. Bayak wouldn't really be traveling back and forth between Egypt and Sinai, but rather Layla is "traveling" back and forth through different parts of Bayak's memories.
Of course the logic breaks down when you consider levels and gear acquired, etc., but at some point gameplay has to win out.
