How boring is that?!....
In Gizee near the Sphinx is a Snake ruin, cobra venom gives good drachmen. Also fur from wild animals.
But it gets very old very quickly. It's even more boring than the cheat engine method.
My suggestion is to do what I did. Buy the packs you really want. People think it's just greed driving this kind of DLC. It's not. These games are extremely expensive to make.
Personally I bought the Horus, Centurian, Nightmare, First Civilization, and Spaniard packs, then used cheat engine to get the gold I needed to upgrade all my weapons to 40.
I understand what it costs to make these games and the risk every company is taking when they sink 100 million+ into one of these titles. When they make a game I really like I have no problem giving it some extra support. But I'm not going to spend hours grinding out money in a single player game just so I can have fun playing with all the different weapon types at level 40 (I didn't use cheat engine until I already had 100% completion).
Is that even allowed? Isn't there an anti-cheat or VAC or something?
However, if people are doing that to get chests instead of buying the packs you can damn well bet that the next game will have it, or that it will be added to this game.
Like I said, I bought the gear I wanted from the store and only used the cheat to level up the weapons I got throughout the game at level 40.
They respected us enough not to put in anti cheat. Respect the time and effort they put into creating a great game and don't cheat to get gear from the boxes.
i completly disagree with you here. I respect the time and effort they put into this game by buying the game+ (season pass). Additional stuff is just greedyness. So no one should ever buy skins with real money to support them, because then they will keep doing this stupid ♥♥♥♥. If i have a singleplayer game and already paid the full price of it, then i want my damn outfits buyable via ingame shops for ingame currency. If the game would be free to play then i could understand that they put it outfits for real money, and then i would say : yes support them by buying those packs.
I don't think you have any concept of just how much these games cost to make, or the risk that a company takes when they put one out there.
Now to be sure it can be done very badly. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ despise what Bethesda did with Fallout 4. They put out a buggy mess, relied on the modding comunity to debug it and make it enjoyable to play, and then, years after the game had been released tried to introduce paid mods, and evertime they introduce new content for that system it breaks script extender, which breaks a lot of the free mods I have installed. ♥♥♥♥ Bethesda. I will never buy another game they create.
I feel like Ubi has struck a decent balance of respecting their player base and trying to make sure they cover their costs and are in a place financially that they can move onto the next game.
If I was going to change one thing about how they do the E-store it would be to merge the club and store, so that the ubi club credits you earn playing the game could be traded on a 1-1 basis for hexa credits.
I know that game development is expensive, but with a 60€ price they have green numbers. Ubisoft is the European EA. They can sell Drachma for Helix Credits, Pelt or what ever crafting item you need, ability points or EXP boost idc. But if there is content hidden behind an additional payment then no sorry. If they want to charge 19,99€ for another DLC with a new map and at least 15 hours of additional gameplay, then its something different, as long as it doesnt feel like the dlc was a part of the main game and they took it out to sell it to make additional money. Witcher 3 DLCs made everything the correct way.
The point I was making is that if there is one that you really like and want, buy it, don't cheat in the gold to gamble for it. If you want to farm the gold to gamble for it in game: go for it. If you don't want to do that, but really want the item, buy it. Just don't cheat in the gold to gamble for items that you really want.
As for the 60E price putting them in the green, that depends entirely on the number of units sold. Its very possible to put out the game at that point and not make back what you invested into the game. And it's not just about being in the green for this game. It's also about having enough left over to invest in the next game. The payout that goes to shareholders is far less than you think.
A flaming horse didn't belong in the base game anymore than a cotton swab staff and you know it.
