Sudden very low FPS in Assassin's Creed Origins: WinRAR / Precomp.exe (Command Line Precompressor)

This morning, upon returning from Xmas holidays, my GPU drivers auto-updated and I immediately suspected the driver to be at fault when the game was showing at 9 fps. Before the vacation 100 fps was about average (8700K OC/1080Ti).

I tried all the usual suspects; removed the new driver with DDU, tried the older one, verified files in Steam, re-installed the game and re-installed Uplay. Scanned for viruses. No changes.

Whenever I cranked up the game it was hovering at 9 fps.

Then almost by chance spotted extreme GPU hogging by the task manager process "Command Line Precompressor", which turned out to be a WinRAR component. It sits steady at 99% continuous GPU usage and effectively blocks any games from using your GPU.

Re-naming the executable (precomp.exe) or deleting all together, did the trick.

i delete the winrrar delete precomp but my GPU its stil work the same like a precomp is on,when restrat the laptop everything its fine but if i play 4-5 hours the same 55% Memory usage and fps down,please help

OP was clearly infected with a bitcoin miner masquerading as a legit winrar component. You have low FPS because you're playing THIS game on a laptop. There's no way to fix that.
