We really need better contrast colors
The map icons are white and their backdrop is bright yellow. I'm straining my eyes looking for unmapped locations and statues and failing miserably. Every ten minutes I see one I've overlooked 18 time. MY EYES ARE BLEEDING.

I am not having issues seeing them. Maybe its your eyes or your monitor settings.

I play on a TV for 3rd person action adventure titles. It's 50".

Input lag is really only a big deal on competitive shooters and even then. :P

I'm usually the one having trouble with colors in games, due to severe red-green and moderate blue-yellow color blindness. I haven't noticed any issues in this one that I can tell.

That might be why. If yellow isn't as clear to you, it probably isn't blending with the white like it is for me. :P

But the nature of a blue-yellow colorblindness would imply I would have a harder time seeing yellow because it blends into other colors (or other colors blend into it)..

Either way, it is weird.

I don't know enough about it to hypothesize. All I know is I can hardly see the hud and map icons are practically invisible.

Maybe you could find a balance in the video color settings management part of your Display control panel? Enhance some colors instead of others... ? I haven't messed with it enough to know if it would help you though.

It's a thought, but I'm incredibly fickle with my color preferences. It has to be just right. :P

Guess I'll give it a shot. Still, I wish someone had the foresight to see issues with white on bright yellow.

Hey, now that I think about it, the loot diamond symbols are a whitish-gray on a lot of pale backgrounds, and I constantly hear the "loot alert" sound from an Animus pulse, but I will search and search and not find them for too long periods of time. The colors get washed out in all the bright clutter.

That could be adjusted and I'd be happy.

AMD / RTG's newest driver has solved such issues for me. their overlay thingy is quite awesome. I can activate it in game and in real time change brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, etc! this helps tremendously!

I think that's exactly what I needed. Thanks, I'll try it when ng+ hits

Think I will too, as near the end when I was looking for just a handful of locations, they did start to blend in a little too much with the background for me as well. It wasn't a problem earlier on, but I did start to notice it (or NOT notice it). ;-)

Wow, that mod is amazing! Thanks for the link.

Glad it helped. I thought of Maskeno when someone posted it in another thread.

Good to know it helps, I will be getting it too, soon.
