I've read that some people want to revert the game back on 1.03 or 1.05
So there are five new files which got updated from 1.05 to 1.1.0.
These five files are necessary to install the downgrade patches.
Otherwise the game will crash at or after splash screen!
(Was reported by some users on official ubi forum)

I will upload the archive with the essential files tomorrow!

Kyrenekai region LOD and draw distance is still horrific. PLEASE Ubi developer, LISTEN TO US!

That region is THE WORSE in the game which is a shame as its home to Cyrene. The yellow flower fields and green grasses look like pixelated cat vomit from 15 metres away. I am playing on Ultra High settings and that is NOT acceptable. PLEASE fix the LOD/draw distance there and in other places where the grass and flower fields look like cat vomit...

I have clocked in 148 hours in the game on Uplay, so I know what I am talking about. Do not let this serious issue ruin what is otherwise a solid entry in the franchise! Address the draw distance/LOD so that people who are playing on Ultra High setting can experience the game at its absolute best! or at least give us an option even beyond Ultra High so that we can have drastically higher LOD/draw distance at a higher performance cost. Please give us the choice Ubisoft. Now people are having to downgrade to 1.03 in order to see the game at its best which is pathetic. I was really excited for 1.10 but now I am extremely disappointed to see that the downgrade the game saw after 1.03 still persists in MANY areas in the game, Kyrenekai being THE worst in the entire game..

So, that you get your sake...
What could you know about other people!?
To fuel your memory, forums are also there for such things. And not only that people like you promote the game even more, that others will buy it due of some guys who haven't no technical experience and creating irritating reviews! What will you do if the server with the social events goes offline?! And dont tell me that this will never happen! Then you play games only for five years. But yeah tell others they are ungrateful fool. I bought the Season Pass and did some ingame purchases but as i said, what could you know?! Seems to me you're a lot more fool than me!
Creating the downgrade patch was my biggest mistake ever. A lot of people playing it again.
A win - win situation for Ubisoft. But not understandable for people like you!
So pls dont whine because others doing some whining.

ACO is a beautiful game with patch 1.02 or 1.03. I`m very happy that rataj gave us the possibility to roll back from 1.05 to 1.03 or 1.02.
But I can tall you that Ubisoft is just like other developers by releasing updates which making the game worse.
If you bought Batman Arkham Knight than you know what a mess game is.
If you bought Mafia 3 than your thoughts about pc gaming has been calibratet new..

I am not wondering that Ubisoft is not answering to questions, why should they?
They got your money so everything is good.

1.03 is a compromise between performance and visual, it's better but still not perfect. the bug is not present in day one at all, but it's not very stable, i experienced more crashes. You can also try to delete aco.ini and let the game regenerate it. it' in your profile documents. If you wanna try 1.02 day one here it is:

Patch to downgrade to from 1.05 to 1.02 WORKING 100%

Well since we are under Christmas, i think this will be a welcomed present.
The process is reversible, no worries, just verify files on uplay to go back to latest patch.
I just finished what Rataj started, so credits goes to him.

1- Deactivate autoupdate on this game only
2- download the rar file linked: https://wwwdotmediafiredotcom/file/aada7pf4rjca0i6/ACO%20DAY%20ONE.rar
3- Unpack the rar file downloaded in a folder
4- from the unpacked files copy removePATCH.forge.BAT to your game folder
5-Run the bat, it will remove all 1.05 files not compatible with 1.02
6- Put the rest of the unpacked files in the game folder and overwrite everything it asks
7-Check if the game runs, it should, if not try to copy again the files of the patch into the game folder, do not touch removePATCH.forge.BAT this time.
8- since 1.02 is very dark because Ubisoft managed to mess something there too, i reccomend to install reshade and tweak levels, that is to say blacks and whites.

QUICK TUTORIAL RESHADE:
-Download the file, i used latest 3.1 https://reshade.me/
-Open the file, and press on the great button SELECT GAME
-Browse to the exe of the game and select it than you have to choose witch direct x uses, dx10+ for ACO
- It will ask to start to download the shaders, click yes, than give you also the possibility to keep them all or select the one you will use (i have selected personally only adaptivesharpen and levels, the ones i needed), when done press ok
- At this point the installation is done
- Now open your game and you will see some text going on on the top of your screen, it loads the reshade software. If no errors are shown you can start using it.
- To open it press SHIFT+F2 and than follow the tutorial, it explains well how to use it

Oh yes, if you experience blurry textures or flickering turning camera deactivate tesselation, it's bugged too lol

The "patch" stuffed everything...
I`m stuck in Rise of Empire and there is no option to ABORT !!
There is if I delete all the hrs spent on this ♥♥♥♥...
Honestly... the game is nice Graphic wise..But thats it..
PS: Love love the white and red boxes flashing every time it wants to.

In the first week the game ACO worked great...then a few patches and updates later the game has mini freezes as it trys to load every 3 minutes, which is bad enough, but now it doesn't load correctly at all. The NPC are not loading, the mounts are not loading, the items being dropped are not loading. I can't believe the game is SOOOO broken. I just want my money back. I feel like I got RIPPED OFF big time. I feel like I got ROBBED, its just terrible. : (

Still horrible performance for me on my 8350 and scene after Cleopatras speech in memphis wont load.
