Tamed animals turning on me
I'm having a recurring issue with tamed animals. If I tame an animal and then become separated from it for even a couple of minutes, it turns on me. Twice now a tamed lion has attacked me when I return to it. Once it was at a ruined temple in Alexandria when I had to climb some walls it couldn't navigate, and once more in a narrow cave where it couldn't follow me. Please fix this, as I really enjoy the whole beastmaster role.

I've had this happen too, and I remained close. I do think it is a bug, because I had tamed lions before without issues. As soon as a group of bandits approach and a fight ensues, at some point in that fight the tamed animal turns and attacks you.

Tame a hippo or a croc, they follow you into the water when you raid big ships. But yea i think after some time they turn against you.

Btw: Is it possible to tame a cobra?

Why? They barely have any hitpoints.

as someone mentioned an animal will only stay tamed as long as you are near them and if you get to far away then you lose control over the animal and it will become hostile to you

Seems odd because I can zip off on my horse, leaving my tamed animal far behind. In that specific scenario, it doesn’t seem to make it turn on me.

So far only lions have turned on me. I’m going to try a few other critters and see what happens.

Taming in real world = torture

If you gain an Ally that isn't the animal it untames it.
You make an animal love you loyally but it'll split the second you aren't looking. That kinda love is illegal in the real world bayek, tsk tsk..

Can't tame a cobra, chicken, flamingo, heron, ibis, or vulture. Tamed creatures will fight by your side but taming may wear off if you leave the area without bringing them along.

Thank you all for providing your feedback on taming animals! I will get this to the team so they can see your opinions!

i had this issue with a tamed hippo, i started to kill hyenas and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ started to attack me with them, but this happened after taming and riding a horse far away to the desert while he was following, another thing, if you hit him while tamed he will turn against you lol.

you can't be very far from the animal or animals you tame, you got to be close to them so that they always be tame. Course I'm not exactly sure of how close you got to be to the animal all the time for it to be tamed all the time

Animals just were not well done in this game period. They do motion capture so all of the human animations look realistic, but that clearly isn't the case with the animals. With that said, they shouldn't have even added animal taming as a skill in the game. Not only to they turn on you for no reason, but they also are completely useless in combat, unless of course they are attacking you. They should just replace it with a skill that allows you to walk past predators without them initiating aggression against you.
