Unfortunately yes, or you can try one of the supported pads (Xbox One, Xbox 360) as at the moment these are the only ones we can say will officially work.

I use the Steam config that's enable Xinput emulation for PS4 Controller, but if you don't use, please sorry.

Game is choppy still on a 5700xt / ryzen 3600 no matter what settings you go to.
This was supposed to be the big return to the series.I've attempted to start playing this game 3 times over the last 3 years, the expereince has really sourced the AC series for me. I didn't touch Odessey, I doubt I'll touch Valhalla.

In my experience Dualshock support works fine WIRED. It's when you try to use it wirelessly it gets weird.
With regards to 5700 XT/3600, what monitor do you have? Freesync works wonders for this game.
