100% gpu ussage normal?
i cant tel if im at 100% (gpu usage is not showing up in this game with msi tuner, maybe i need to update it) or not but my gpu gets louder when i play the game, and it sounds the same as my otehr games when they get to 100%

also in the first total warhammer on the campaign map i get 100% usage and in civ 6 when a large part of tha map is revealed i get it also but when i zoom in in the game it lowers the usage

the only other new game i have is nioh and i dont get 100% ussage in that game

my gpu is an r9 390 and im using the latest drivers

does this happen to anyone else in the games i listed?

please and thanks

You WANT the GPU to be close to 100%. If it isn't then there is a bottleneck elsewhere(CPU, or FPS limitter for instance).
ok thanks so it wont harm my gpu then i take it?

100% anything doesnt harm you components. Unless u dont have a proper cooling solution.

First person I've seen to speak some sense on these forums.

If you wanna play for 5-6 hours with 100 % cpu load and 100 % gpu load you need some serious cooling. And i'm talking watercooling. Or it WILL harm your pc
Do you, or anyone in this thread, feel that a Thermaltake Riing Water 3.0 240mm AIO system is adequate with an Intel i7 7700K running at 100% and 62-72 degrees C for several hours in Origins?

I am new to PC, do diligent research, and just completed my rig, but have not come across a definitive answer pertaining to the numbers consistently experienced while playing this game. There are plenty of other threads discussing different CPU but I haven't found too much regarding this.

Yeah I wish this game would give me 100% gpu usage, all I see is less than 50% with all cpu cores above 50%, always.

uh sorry but that simply isn't true. I have 99% GPU usage and ive seen a couple cores hit 100%. My gpu hovers between 55-62C and highest CPU core temp was 63C all on air. Of course i also don't live in a hot climate, im using a HAF X case and my ambient room temp is 64 F.
