Console or pc version?
Should i get this game for ps4 or pc? Honestly i prefer to buy the pc version but after all that i have read the downgrades, Optimisation not good, different kinds of drm on at all times hogging up the cpu. What should give me the better experience? Just want to hear from people who play this game on pc if any of is true.

Oh it's pretty much true across the board. Well we can't really say exactly what is hogging up CPU, perhaps the DRM is actually only causing a small hit and the game is just very badly optimized.. Who knows.. But all the negatives you mentioned are real.

The recent v1.05 update has downgraded the LoD and draw distance noticeably on PC - it's now inline with consoles I beieve. You might still get better performance on PC compared to consoles though, and there's the possibility they could revert the downgrades, specially since they don't seem to help much at all with CPU utilization, and have also made things a bit worse for others.

If you have good CPU cooling and a decently powerful machine then I would go with PC - but be ready to refund - you mght get unbareable stuttering. I get some stutter for around a minute after loading my save, but afterwards it's smooth. Despite everything I have been enjoying the game, but the downgrades have put me off a bit, hoping Ubi sort something out soon.

Thank you for the honest review, This was dissapointing to hear i guess the best i could do is hopefully wait for a fix on the pc version before buying. I might just go for the console version this time unfortunately.
Thanks for the reply.

The best comment I read on reddit regarding DRM was this: Since Denuvo and VMProtect constantly poking the game if it is genuine, with every movement in the game Denuvo and VMProtect activates themselves and here is how it was illustrated.

- GAME: Some movement in the game
- DENUVO: Are you genuine?
- GAME: Yes I am genuine.
- GAME: Some movement in the game
- DENUVO: Are you genuine?
- GAME: Yes I am genuine.

Then in some thread trolls claim that 40FPS is not bad at all and very playable, personally I don't agree with that because most of the people here invested in beast PC surely not to have a console experience.

If you own a console then don't bother getting it on PC, just buy it on console.

Now that you have had two responses from people with bad experience, let me give you my response!

Downgrade on the GRAPHICS, ZERO NONE ZILCH. Game dropping to unacceptable levels (40 FPS) not here, my average FPS is 70, and the lowest is about 55. Cpu usage at close to 100 %, ABSOLUTELY, however running a CPU at 100 % will not hurt the CPU or make it perform poorly. Too much heat however can and will kill a CPU so a good quality cooler is REQUIRED! The optimization for SOME people is not good and Ubisoft is "claiming to be working on the problem". I think they will get it worked out but I could be wrong.

About the best advice anyone can give you is buy the game from Steam, try the game for and hour and 55 minutes, if in that time you are not happy refund the game promptly. Then wait and see if they fix it or not before trying again.

Depends what you got for a PC. Once in a while the fps will drop dramatically, but for the most part it runs absolutely fine. I am running it 3440x1440 with very high settings and I get 70+ fps according to the benchmark (i7-6700k and 1080Ti).
