How to download the previous build of the game (v1.03)

I figured this might be of use to some here since there are a lot of reports of v1.05 introducing incessant stuttering:

- Open Steam's developer console by typing steam://open/console into your browser
- Input download_depot 582160 582161 8264693827870023382 and wait for the console to report "Depot download complete"
- Navigate to SteamApps\content\app_582160\depot_582161 and move the data to the game installation folder

The information in the app manifest file will remain unchanged, so Steam won't download an update until Ubi patches the game again. If you'd like to go back to v1.05, simply verify the game data.

Edit: Be aware that the depot in question is a ~35.6GB download.

Edit edit: If you encounter texture-related issues, delete the files mentioned in Dist's post here.

More or less; depot 582161 contains virtually all of the game data. I'll add a note to the OP.

There is no redist and Steam doesn't support downgrading via delta patching outside of choosing a different build branch, which isn't an option in this case.

Edit: Since these instructions have been labelled "useless", I should also clarify that the thread title is accurate. The command does download v1.3, but, unfortunately, there's no way around the large size of said download.

Mine shuts down steam after downloading 10.2gb everytime, so it seems it doesn't work for me.

That's odd. Are you sure you're not running out of space? The data will download to the default SteamApps folder.
