How do you win the Hippodrome Races?

It's basically Mario Kart with Horses but I'm unable to win, and I've tried It countless times now. Movement is simple but the enemie horses seem always faster. Any tips? I'm about to give up :c

The best I can give is to not be too close to the inside of the circle when you drift around a corner. I'm not much of a racing game person myself and I don't like the chariot races at all

My biggest issue is, if you race against multiple people they're mostly blocking my way and I can't go further, even if I manage to hit some. I already gave up this racing thing, I'm too bad I guess. If I find a horse with a V8 engine, I'll try It again.

Hold brace while drifting and you'll get the sharper turns without the loss of speed.

It's a really cheap way to do it since it's almost certainly a bug of some sort, but it works.

Honestly though, the hippodrome races aren't worth it past the achievement. You don't get anything from them you can't get elsewhere as far as I know.

you get unique horses for beating them, and an achievement for beating the first, but that's about it. If you don't care about the mounts, then it's probably not worth the head ache
