how to kill Phylakes ? im on level 15ish

these mofos come out of nowhere and i have 0 chance in killing them, what level do you have to be?

coz they are always red indicating they can one shot kill

i got killed by a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bird yesterday

It is recommended that you lvl up to their lvl before fighting them.

They are some of the hardest fights in the game. Wait until you are at least their level before you try. 1st one is level 20

Level all the way upto 40. Cuz the last guy with that fiery staff can do some serious damage.

if you're in an area that you can survive in normally than you have more than a zero chance of beating him.. that said anything more than 5 levels below is nearly impossible so at least get to 17 and a few options would be

1. on a horse, easiest and most excessible way

2. hit and run tactics, you can assassinate him for a huge hit to his points and than run and hide until you can assassinate again - rinse and repeat until dead

3. berserk perk

4. perch on a high place and headshot him a few dozen times (they have bows though so watch out)

You can take advantage of their AI if you really want to kill them at low levels. Either bring them near a blacksmith and use your arrows. Or stealth kill them infinitely on a roof they can't climb up to. It will take a long time but if you persist, you can do it.

The best way I found to kill them was using a Scepter weapon with its berserk Overpower mode and smoke bombs. The smoke bombs allow you to keep hitting them without interruption for a bit, so if you can get them backed into a corner you can just beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of them. I've gotten up to 6x damage before

They start at lvl 30 up to lvl 40, I managed to kill the lvl 30 one when I was a lvl under him, I used a weapon that gave me health on a crit hit.

My first phylake kill was.... When i was about 18-20-ish level, the lowest level i can remember when striking the first phylake.... In Alexandria ? Or the area around it....

Too bad i didnt have shadow play enable, i accidentally shot him with fire arrows, and he ran behind a hut that made of hay.... And the whole area burned to ground, while he screamed "Ow! Ow! Ow!"

Never knew his weapon... I tend to jump them and I use an instant charge sword to keep them down.

A) Level up B) stay on horseback (unless you are good enough to dodge everything and they are on foot) C) if they are on a horse or chariot, set the horse/chariot on fire so they are slowed down (do it asap because their arrows will kill you) D) I usually run away, headshot, dodge their attacks, rinse repeat. When the adrenaline gauge fills, I then do the special. I do similarly on horseback.

Horse can work well until 'Bane of Hathor' then you might want to start thinking of distances and covers.

Also remember if you are able to run away a little bit... your health will start to regen.
