Changing Graphics Settings Do not save
My graphics are locked on very high for some reason. I've tried changing graphics to Medium for better FPS, I restarted the game and it reverts back to very high/Ultra. Ran as Admin, Changed graphics to medium, Same deal, Tried changing them individually instead of selecting a preset, Tried changing graphics at the title screen too - nothing.

I don't know what the hell is causing this but it's ruining my gameplay. I can't aim or hit enemies or dodge attacks with a fluctuating 25-42 fps

I'm going to assume you use an NVIDIA GPU; Open GeForce experience and turn ''automaticly optimize games'' off.

either this or the config file is set as read-only (unlikely)
Wykhyrm, You're actually right, it is set to read only, I did it manually, I'll change it back

Worked like a charm, Changed the ACO config off read only. You're a genius bro I would've never figured that out by myself

I am having the same problem but I'm not having any luck finding the config file.

Documents > Assassin's Creed Origins > ACO.ini

I'm not seeing it anywhere in my documents

Found some aparent saves made for my ACO in ubisoft savegames but when i launch games hasn't saved anything. Already turned off cloud saving and no auto optimize for my nvidia geforce.

also did a search through all files in pc for ACO.ini and system found nothing

That's where it should be though.

%UserProfile%/My Documents/Assassin's Creed Origins/ACO.ini

If you don't have one, that could be part of the problem. The game could be reverting back to its default settings.

Unless you have system files hidden on your system, I don't know what else it could be. The game is supposed to generate a new ACO.ini file if it doesn't find one.
What I did was delete my ACO.ini file while the game was open, then saved the graphics. It automatically creates a new .ini afterit restarts, and it should have the new settings.

Anyone struggling with this issue check your config file is not set to Read-only.

Look in C:\Users\YourName\Documents\Assassin's Creed Odyssey/ACOdyssey.ini

Right Click ACOdyssey.ini, Properties, uncheck Read-only.

Hope this helps.
