Max player and enemy level?

Anyone know what the max player and character levels are? I see some phylakes that are in the 40's range but I was wondering how far it goes.

40 is the max weapon and enemy level, however you can continue to gain ability points via xp past this.

Oh, and I think one of the DLC's is expanding the level cap at some point

Enemies cap out at 40. For the player character, each level until 40 grants health, damage and a skill point, after 40 you only gain skill points.

ive seen level 41 enemies but thats the highest
