Question about the shop outfits

They are hands down the best outfits in the game. I know I can get them with the random chests also but I have a question about the differences between the 2 methods of obtaining them. If I buy them in the shop they are linked to my account and will be given to me on every new game I start correct? How about if I randomly get them through the Heka chests? Will I have to play the RNG Heka chest game on every new file I start to get those outfits?
I was actully about to buy them but no matter what I tried I can’t buy helix credits on steam. I keep getting an error message. (I have both the uplay and steam overlays on). Then while trying to google the issue I found out about the Heka chest thing.
TLDR:
1) what are the differences between purchase methods for the 3 outfits?
2) why can’t I buy helix credits?

Edit: as a side note I normally do not support micro transactions in any way, but I absolutely love this game and I really can’t help myself here.

Buying with Helix credits: They are marked as owned in the store, and linked to your account. New games will start with them available

Getting with Heka chest: You do not own it in the store, it is not connected to your account, only that saved game. New games will not have the outfit already available for you like it would be if you bought it from the store

so yes. If you want them out of hte Heka chest, every new game will require you to get it randomly out of the chest again

Thank you very much for a clear reply. I’ll probably buy them and link to my account then. So. The big problem would be. Why can’t I buy helix credits on steam. I have tried everything. Restarted my PC. Made sure not overlays are on. Etc. it always give a login error while trying to connect to the store with steam.

i am not sure, i bought helix credits for the camel just fine, though i admittedly haven't tried recently

Do you know what happens if you get a duplicate of a purchased shop item later when you open a Heka chest? I don’t even care if it does nothing. I just don’t want it to duplicate in my inventory. I’m sure they thought of that tho and made sure it wouldn’t.

You're talking about outfits you buy with real world money? Because the outfits at every tailor in the game not only all look alike, but are the ugliest crap I've ever seen. Literally haven't changed from Bayek's main outfit the entire time. I got Ezio and Altair's outfits from the uplay store for free and while I love them 1000x more than anything else I've seen in-game so far, they don't fit the setting in the slightest so I can't use them, it drives me nuts.

Really wish there were better outfits ingame somewhere.

I agree with you. I’m talking about the real money ones. Only good ones. In game ones are 99% terrible.

Persian prince isn't too bad, i alternate between that and the Scarab outfit i got out of the Heka chest

you can sell mounts you find out of the Heka chest, so yes you can sell duplicate mounts

however i do not see any option to sell the Scarab outfit i got out of a Heka chest, so i'm not sure you can do anything about duplicate outfits

Thanks. Someone on reddit said they stack like “outfit name (2)” what a dumb design decision on ubis part. If I can’t sell it what’s that number 2 getting me. Lol

Still can’t buy helix credits :,( any tip I could try? Restarting steam does nothing. Everything else on steam is working perfect. Just bought a 3 $ Indi title I’ve been wanting, to test if it’s on steams end.
