The only time I have had a problem like that is when I'm very under leveled for an area/target. There is a lot to do in each section of the map... if this bothers you... I'd just take more time in each area to level and upgrade.
But yeah you are right, it is very unimmersive to shoot someone dead in the head, with a strong bow, just to have them just shrug it off.
Assassin's Creed Origin is well balanced with the level progression. The only problem is we have a culture of players that have Attention Defeatist Disorder and they cant sit thru three minutes of monologue, the ability to do side quest, explore or anything else that require attention or take to much time.
If you did indeed play the game like your suppose to enjoying every bit of it exploring, side questing, and main mission at the same time, instead of going 1000 mph thru the main story without enjoying the game and skipping all the cut scenes. Then yes you will below level on a main mission run. Is not the game is your style of gaming. Take time to smell the roses and you will find you will be above level on everything you are doing.
Also mind you, your saying this with 7+ hours of game play in your profile (Altair). at 7 hours of game play I was not even in Alexandra and what your talking about is towards the end of the Alexandria run with the main mission.( not to give out any spoilers) but your going way to fast. Clearly only doing main mission.
Only makes sense if this wasn't an origin story, you aren't really suppose to be stealth at all, you just are because you're an elite warrior. Even end game Aya states it's time to "stay in the shadows" so yea
The team really wanted to make this game feel more like an open world RPG. Therefore they decided to format the leveling in a system that recommends you be very close to the enemies level, otherwise, you will essentially be trying to stab the enemy with a spoon if the level gap is too great. I understand that it can be frustrating that the mechanics of Assassin's Creed Origins differ so much from the other games in the series, but the team really wanted the player to feel a better sense of freedom and control over their character's movements. The hope behind this was to make the player feel more rewarded when taking down high-level enemies. Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback!
