Stuttery Cutscenes
GPU: GTX 1080 Ti
CPU: i7-7700k
RAM: 16 GB
~playing at 1080p max settings (aiming for 60 FPS)

The game runs at a constant 60 FPS with max settings (there are times when the camera has a weird chug motion on my PS4 controller which is not apparent using a mouse) however cutscenes come out super stuttery, but play at 60 FPS. It's almost as if the camera itself it stuttering and not the characters. Lowering settings also does not change anything.

Any known fixes? I have about an hour logged. I'm trying not to log over 2 hours to keep my refund option possible. Seeing how HDR support was just dropped for PC you never know.

Loving the game so far. I'd really hope it gets fixed.

EDIT: The stutter is also visible on console

3:13 and 17:34. I haven't progressed farther than that. It's no where near as bad probably because it's in 30 FPS.

Nope. This was an issue for me for the entire 100 hours I played. It's incredibly annoying. It happens most often when the camera pans in any direction. There are several threads about the issue but it seems not enough people are complaining and it's gone under the radar. The stutter in cutscenes can also be seen on several let's plays on YouTube as well. The streamers never commented on it though, like they didn't even notice. It's so noticeable though. What are your specs by the way? Mine is the 6700K with a 1080 Ti on an SSD and with 16 GB RAM. Windows 10.

Same as said in the main comment

It's also on my SSD as well to prevent possible performance issues.

I've only watched one other gameplay video and it was from an xbox one (only video I could find with 0 people talking and commenting.) and the cutscene stutter was there as well. Hopefully this gets more notice. It's super distracting. The other camera chug bug I mentioned seems to be just the controller though. I had a similar issue with No Mans Sky.

(Side Note: Hestia has the best chestia)

I got the exact same issue!

It doesn't matter If It's stuttery. You will only see two people talking most of the time anyways.

Even if it is just two people it's pretty annoying. When it's just talking the stutter isn't too bad it's just when things start happening in cutscenes. Right in the beginning when the soldiers come looking for you after you wake up the stutter is absolutely insane. Then after the cutscenes it's back to smooth FPS.

Regardless it's a bug that impacts overall enjoyability. Now I'm not saying it should override the whole AMD situation, but it should be near the top to fix. Cutscenes convey the story.

Same issue here. Breaks immersion.

My cutscene i noticed it the most, bayek comes around at a burning village and it is like 1 full scond of no input to my monitor in that cutscene

It's a problem that developers know about it and it hasn't gone under the radar.
A Ubisoft guy two days ago wrote here on Steam that they are aware it is happening to some people and i think most likely they are gonna fix it soon.

When I contacted them they were in denial of the fact and pushed the ball back in my court as in my system specs....

Well they're going to have a hard ass time denying two people with 1080 Ti's and i7-7600k+ CPU's.

It's super annoying when you just want to play for the story.

i bet ubisoft just have not been optimized them for the pc version.

i think there is nobody on pc with no stutter. if the scene is full of action, its a nightmare.

Yeah, I have that too. It's strange. With rendering resolution at 90% of 1080p and most settings on High (AA and shadows on Low) I can get a reliable 30 FPS. But the cut scenes are like watching anime.
SireNightFire Nov 6, 2017 @ 10:51am
What's really annoying is no matter what settings I use the cutscenes stutter appears.

I also get this but using xbox one controller

"There are times when the camera has a weird chug motion on my PS4 controller which is not apparent using a mouse"
