Why not an NG+ mode, where the entire world gets scaled up to level 40? Really let you get use out of that end-game gear, outfits and mounts.
i mean, since it all happened before, and the history is fixed, replaying memories are more logical than having a save on certain point of the game.
You just re-access the memory, not reloading the memory, because there are no "multiple outcome" to begin with, just "how far the player can synchronize with their memory"
+1 God yes , NG+ with all my sh*t against 40-44 enemies..man, would love that.
Not save on certain points. I play on PC, not console where they are used to "save points". Save anytime anywhere (of course with exceptions, like in mission, or arena fight, etc).
30 years it works for many games and it still be working.
This is little different. You gain experience, raise your level, gain abilities, upgrade your equipement. It isn´t something you do in memory. It is something you do in an open world RPG game.
And yes, we "reliving" memories (whic is pretty stupid since they abandoned premise that you can access only your ancestor memories. I said it multiple times - with this technology templars must win, there is no other choice) and thanks to this there is set outcome. So no decisions for end of mission, like in Witcher, or some TES mission, etc, when you can choose if you help guy A or guy B. But since you still can kill enemies as you decided (in fight, by equipement, by silent assassination) you have some freedom in those memories. So even when outcome is set (target will die) it is up to you how to make it happen.
So Save/ Load ins´t against game mechanics. And there could be both thing, replay main memories and also have Save/ load for smaller mission, event, or outside animus experiences.
