Shield / 2 weapons
1:Is there any disadvantage to always keeping your shield up when in melee?

2: Not sure if this is a glitch but if you chose the abilty to equip 2 bows then both shows on the character. If you chose the ability to equip 2 melee weapons then only the one selected will show on the character. Is that the same for evryone else or a glitch?

It's not a glitch, only 1 melee weapon.

And no other than it limits your movement speed.

Thank you for the info :)

I'm not a big fan of the weapon equip thing either. Having two bows on looks stupid as hell, but having a spear with a sword on your belt would look very nice and also very fitting.

The two bows setup I actually find quite cool and interesting, but I do agree having a spear and sword equipped would be far more accurate, fitting, and appealing

you walk funny, other than that its playstyle dependant. If you like head to head fights shields block arrows and light attacks plus perks give you the option to parry and charge. Without it you just move around the battlefield more freely

for the two weapon thing its just convience, I use a predator and a warrior for long and close range and don't have to open the menu every time

I take the same approach for bows, except I use hunter bow for long range and light bow for close range.

I did the same until I figured out how to use the predator bows guidance perk, I've literally hit people turning corners and behind tree with that missle guided arrow perk lol, it's turned into a fun mini-game at this point for me to see if I can headshot people in wierd over walls and around corners locations. also if you aim the shotgun bow high enough its usually a one or two hitter and you just have to run over them to get the arrows back

hahaha, nice. That reminds me of the Red Dead Redemption dynamite when using dead eye. I feel like the enhanced predator bow perk is too OP, but I get it when you turn it into your own mini game.

Its so incredibly satisfying when you take down a running enemy at like 50m+ with just the hunter bow. Making the prep adjustments yourself. You feel like a true ancient badas$

What about weapon config?
A slow weapon coupled with a fast?

Scepters and spears seem similar in purpous...is that right? To be hinest they are the hardest weapons for me to get to grips with.

spears are weak but fast and you can keep distance but you also have to see what type of killer move they have (blue or yellow) because they could be basically the same type of weapon (spear and scepter) but have a different finisher. it tells you most of this info on the weapon btw

Really? Scepters seem like the best weapon in the game to me so far

Only thing I do not like is the overpower. I prefer the big hard hit vs the berserk mode

Depends on the situation for me, the berserk mode can be nice for killing multiple enemies in a short time span. It's also fantastic if you've built your combo multiplier up high, rapidly hitting enemies at 4x damage just melts them

Yes but I find I rarely encounter more than 4 or 5 enemies at once. An instant overpower kill then the weapon throw to kill a second at the start of a fight helps out tremendously

Actually, since I wrote my post I have had some practice with the spear of the ???(pheonix maybe)? It is a legendary that gives you life on a kill. It has become my favorite weapon for sure, I love the charged 'heavy' hit, used it to kill the 1st and 2nd phylactari (excuse the spelling) while I was 2 levels lower on hard difficulty.

I find combat so challenging when surrounded by 5+ enemies, as soon as I drop my guard to attack one I get pinned by about 3 arrows....actually makes the game enjoyable. Not sure if there is a simple combat solution to this type of situation....or whether the best option is to run and hide :Dominated:
