The Hippodrome Disappointment

Iam curious about your guys Hippodrome experiences. I must say its nothing to enjoy. I dont know if there is another one besides the Alexandria Hippodrome but i guess not.

First of all guess which "Match" was the hardest to win....?! Yeah the tutorial. Still not the first one in there with 3 attempts yet.

The other tourneys have their moments but its all pretty much the same.

Biggest issue here: I had the biggest problem with winning the first (nike) tourney.

Somehow the AI and the tourneys are not very good executed. Example: In the last Tourney all the enemies seem to fall behind pretty quick. I dont know if its about the fire. I dont care i just drive through it. Max HP i lose is 1 Bar. Getting to first position in no time and keeping it up all the time unlike in Nikes tourney where they ram you down (i think in elite u lose a lot more HP)
Suddenly they seem to get boosts a lot more often or longer than you so it was very hard for me to keep up but guess what...didnt matter much because i didnt not have to get to the first position in all tourneys. There are points in it but i dont understand all that because it doesnt seem to matter much. If i remember correctly i won a tourney with 1. 2. 3. Positions and another with 1. 3. 3.

Today i managed to win all the tourneys and got my new mounts and thats it.

As i said i dont know if there is more to it in future because i just came across the Hippodrome...well but it doesnt seem satisfying at all.

AI has infinite stamina. I did the normal events, I refuse to do the elite ones. I only one the normal one because I killed the other riders with fire. No thanks on doing it again.

The hippodrome tournament is the biggest disappointment of Origins. Reminds me of that ass Den defence from Revelations. AI has infinite stamina. They steer corners like crazy and unbeatable. It's really boring and I didn't even bother completing it.

Does getting first place even matter or something? I usually get 1st place in a round in every tournement I've played and then get maybe a 2nd or a last in the other rounds, I see there's points but I don't see them added together or anything.

yeah my thoughts exactly.

i guess its more like that: as long as you make it to the 3rd place in puncto points you win the tournaments.

If you beat the tournament you get a horse. I think it was a legendary phrarohs horse or something? You then unlock elite versions which I can assume gives you a chariot, but I can't be bothered to do it again.

i like the fact that they brought it in and before the tournament-missions i was really hyped...ya well before. :>

you get 2 horses - 1 for each tournament. though i must say i like the "normal tournament-horse-reward" a lot more than the elite...

To much cheats for AI (playing on hard don´t know if it affects damage and stamina). I am unable to reach elite status, won the first two tournaments, but at the third tournament you get rammed to death and AI has definitly more stamina than player (its impossible to get away from AI the mostly damage you from behind)...

you guys must not drive much. When you "cut the corner" you actually have to start a bit far from the wall to end up very near the wall and get a big advantage. Common sense, people. It's easy to win the races.
