A Steady gameplay Setup.
First, here is my system specs:

CPU: i7 7700K
GPU: ASUS ROG GTX 1080TI OC
RAM: DDR4 16GB
HDD: Two 2TB HDD
OS: Win 10

Now, for in game menu specs:

Brightness: 40%
Window Mode: Fullscreen
Resolution: 4K Native
VSync: Off
FOV: 100/115
FPS Limit: 90 FPS

Graphics:

Set it to ultra settings, turned off Aliasing and Ambient Occlusion (you do not actually need this option), turned off Volumetric Clouds, and set the Shadows to High instead of all the way up.

Monitor: ASUS PB287Q 4K

NVidia Control Panel Setup:

Leave everything to factory, set Vsync to Fast Sync, and turn Triple Buff to On.

System Settings:

I turned power management to High Performance.

So, the main things that could help you all over any graphics card are the following:

- FPS Limit.
- Turn off Anti Aliasing.
- Turn off Volumetric Clouds (don't need them technically)
- Turn off Ambient Occlusion (I honestly didn't notice the difference, although I know there is one)
- Turn shadows to high (You will not notice the difference in everyday gameplay, or even standing still. Real life shadows are not solid lines anyways)
- Fast Sync if you have it. If not, try vertical Sync On with the Triple Buffering On as well.
- High Performance under Power Settings for your system has been noted to either help, or do nothing.

I hope this helps at least even one person lol.

At lower resolution you need AA, it's a must have or the game looks horrible. I agree with Shadows. Fast sync is only for if your PC is so powerful you get more fps than your monitors refresh rate, and it'll reduce input lag.

I think the main problem continues to be people with decent GPUs are just getting hammered due to their i5s being completely maxed out. Which isn't very easily remedied on the user side. We need patches.

Everything on max + 4k resolution with an average of 55 FPS, 18% CPU usage, but 98 / 3 % GPU usage.

I9 7920x
2x Evga 1080 Ti
64 GB of 3200 Mhz DDR4 Ram
Saved on a M.2 960 Evo

We have simular systems but i run 100hz 3440x1440 gsync display rather than hooking up the 4k. The problem with this game is the high CPU load and few settings that affects it. IE on a balanced machine its very possible to crank up the gfx settings and yet only get a far less than normal hit in fps.

I have the same resolution and refresh rate, (Predator X34). And with a 1900x and GTX 1080 ti I get 64 fps average maxed out.

I think it's ridiculous how much even i7's are being used. My 1900x sees like 40% usage.

Hey gang thanks for the input. I noticed something odd using my setup: My GPU is now at 97-100% usage, and my CPU is only at 45 - 50%... Not sure what I did differently lol. Any ideas?

Not sure what you did either, but that's perfect. That's what you want to see.

The only things I did different were change my ACO priority to real time, and then back to high through task manager, enabled Threaded Optimization in the NVidia Control Panel, and switched back and forth between borderless and full screen lol

You don't need AO? That's one of the most important graphic effect.
Without that everything looks like plastic

I meant if you are just trying to beef up FPS a little bit. The game is definitely acting up... I was getting solid FPS, then it went back to 43 AVG FPS, then I switched all the day down to 1080, no difference...

Running the asus pg348q and the fps is roughly the same with the 7700k @ ultra. I really hope more cores than 4(+4 ht) will be utilized soon especially now that AMD forced intels hand on cores :)

Well hell, now I gave up, went full 4K again, maxed out every option, and now the thing is running about the same FPS.... Why? Any ideas as to why the game jumps around so much? lol

Two words - CPU utilization

Havent hooked up the 4k screen but would not surprice me uf i get roughly the same FPS in 2160p vs 21:9 3440x1440

Yeah it most definitely is not optimized lol. I will continue experimenting with different options, 2 1080 ti's, etc. to see if there is a work around for now. The only thing I think could help, is a true 6 or 8 core processor, and that ain't no cheap option for just one game.
