Difference between horses and camels & what does their rarity affect?

Horses don't go faster or something? Or camels aren't stronger or maybe faster on sand? Is it really just cosmetics?

From the amount of time i've spent riding around neither have shown me much difference. I did get the feeling really early on that horses max speed was faster, but I preferred the horse over camels so I havent tested that at all really.

Camel are stronger than horses. But slower. Also it has been reported by players that its hard for the enemies to knock u down from a camel while its easy for them to do that when u are on horse.

I don't know that, and like I just said yesterday it has been reported by players on the same discussion. So I was just saying what I read.
