after looking a bit i found out that its like a secret entrance, suppose you wanna get into a fort without being seen, this is one of the secret entrances

They're strategic entrances. Entering from them will usually give you some advantage while trying to infiltrate an area.

Well.. You're the only one to blame. Talk about symbols in front of a wall full of symbols and leave all the specifics about the exact symbol in question out.
