I'm playing on hard. It's not too bad. The only thing that hurts is arrows. (Take them out first)
Edit: Also, fighting from your horse is OP

Playing on Hard feels like playing on normal, hope like many that we get 2 more settings like Veteran and Elite.

When you play every side quest plus the revenge quests and hunting the convoy's (for extra money to upgrade you're weapons) you be max level (40) half way in the game already, wish we could lvl up till lvl 50 or 60 including the weapons and shields. (lets hope in future patch, should improve the game a lot, worth to play it all over)

Thats true but there are shields for different situations, when in the open, hunting convoy's for example I use a shield that protect me more against arrows and fire(arrows) when in a camp I try stealth first till I disable the alarm and then go full mellee just for the fun :P

But yes, you get the most out of the game on hard. (have 107 hours in my hard play and still 20% to 30% left to do for full completion)

Assassins Creed games always have been too easy.
So I play on hardest difficulty...

Normal feels like easy, hard feels like normal. My opinion.

Hard of course. Even the hardest difficulty isn't actually difficult until you fight enemies that are a higher level than you. It was a nice experience to die to something other than jumping off of a building in an AC game though

Hard is easy, died twice today, not to difficulty but to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tbh :P

Guess I'll be the one person to come out and admit that I play on normal. I know, I know, I can hear the giggles from here. To me, normal feels difficult enough and I can still sit back and enjoy the game without turning bright red with anger every five seconds. Are there any more noobs like myself out there?

Nothing wrong with it man, play on whatever setting is more fun for you. It's the point of a video game after all
I started on Normal, but I found some weapons/crafting/equipment can get your character REALLY OP. So I switched to Hard.

I started on hard, gonna switch to normal until I get upgrade my gear. I haven't cared about recommended level (all the missions seems so urgent, bayek gets no sleep), nor have I felt like I have time to upgrade my gear, still on beginner gear except for weapon drops and open combat is Impossible, lol. working on the scarab and taharqua dies before I do. can't do any damage per hit and die in 2 against weak enemy. I get killed by archers smacking me with their bows (not arrows) and any skilled enemy, 1 hit done. It doesn't seem to affect stealth, which is why I decided to play hard, thought it was gonna make THE GAME more diff, not just melee. I am gonna keep HUD off though. I'm just tryna navigate with landmarks and find targets through clues and study, so HARD isn't my thing I guess. I am playing missions way above my level because it would ruin it for me if bayek always ♥♥♥♥♥♥ out due to inadequate level. BAYEK IS MAX LEVEL!! Thought I was cool when I learned to catch the gladiator in Yamu in an ass whoop loop, but apparently marauder archers are way more deadly.

You can still “overlevel” for more skill points
