Unable to Assassinate
I'm sure I'm missing something painfully obvious, but I've yet to find a way to sneak up on an enemy and assassinate them. It only ever gives me an option to takedown, which knocks them out rather than kill them.

This is somewhat annoying as you cannot carry unconscious enemies, so I have to shoot them/use my melee weapon to kill them and carry their body away.

I am ashamed to say I've already failed as an assassin.. any help would be great!

I was wondering if it may be an item, but I've figured I would have this 9 hours into the game!

Anyway, thanks guys!

I've completed the quest that gives me the blade now. Turns out I've spent far too long running around doing sides quests and gathering resources.

Nah I didn't think that, I've played all AC games up to and including Black Flag so I knew there is a way to assassinate.. I just hadn't figured out how in 8-9 hours of playing it so thought I'd ask here. It's my fault for not progressing far enough into the game and just messing around.

Hey now theres nothing wrong with messing around and exploring. :-D

True dat!

This game offers too many distractions and I can't help but get distracted by them all :p

It's a nice change of pace from all the usual complaints we hear that modern games are too short and don't offer enough game play.

I'm going to state the obvious but you should have noticed you don't start the game as an Assassin. Bayek won't be able to use the classic hidden blade assassination until you progress through the story and he actually obtains the hidden blade.

I have not even done the level 10 main story quest to meet Aya and am already level 26 just from exploring the map and completing side quests lol.

This is why my favourite games consist of The Elder Scrolls, Fallout and Witcher franchise. Good value for money.

Oh I agree, which is why my first setence was - I'm sure I'm missing something painfully obvious - turns out I really was! :steamfacepalm:

This game reminds me of The Witcher 3 in some ways, the side quests are actually interesting and fun to do which is refreshing. Couple that with lots of places to explore and fun combat and you've got yourself a game that will keep you busy for a while!
