This is really confusing me. I'm going to sound ultra noob here, but... it's like it's barely using my GPU and trying to push most graphics through my CPU cores.
Like I said, I'm coming from a very smooth experience in Shadow of War, I definitely was not expecting this. I am NOT running the game from an SSD, but this should not have this big of an impact.
I'll check overheating issues maybe? Very confused.
It does seem to be a lot more cpu intensive than gpu, but some games just are but they need to do something about it. I'm running a fix 1060 and the recommended cpu, so shouldn't have to run on medium with capped fps
This is really not helpful, there is nothing wrong with op's pc or anyone else's who've commented on here, we can all run the game, its the cpu intensive setup that's the problem so please go and troll somewhere else
The i7 950 is from 2009. Think about that for a minute. 2. thousand. 9.
I agree, as I stated, that my CPU is outdated. However, it is very confusing for me to find that I am able to run new games such as Shadow of War or The Evil Within 2 at an acceptable performance (obviously not perfect), yet with this game I can't break the 10, 15 FPS barrier no matter the settings I use. Sure, AC Origins is very resource intensive and it shows, but it's strange that there's such a big difference with other recent AAA games.
It's too bad you don't have a 1440p screen I'd be interested to see how it handled 1440p with low settings, might be more than 10 fps.
I'm certain AMD GPUs are also the problem, but I guarantee his CPU is part of it.
