GTX 1060 & i5 6500 someone?
Hey,
ive been waiting for reviews and based on that it finally seems to be a good AC title again.
The only thing bothering me is the known performance issues. Usually i dont really like playing lower than 60FPS. I can 2-3 weeks till they hopefully hotfix it, but i would really like to know how good the performance on medium or maybe high settings with a gtx 1060 and i5 6500 is right now? so does anyone have those specs and would share his experience?

I have the same proc and vc, it works well on medium settings, tried it on high, very high, and ultra high, and my game sometimes lags. Best setting for this setup is on medium, high can work too, but whenever I check the built in benchmarking I often get "stable" and "low", unlike on medium where it's always "good" or "high". I'm not really familiar with all the hardware stuff and how it works etc, but I think if you have a better CPU it will work way better.

This game uses too much from the processor though, tried watching some movies while playing, and man I couldnt even watch anything nor do anything while playing the game. I have 24gbs ram, so I don't think that's the problem. Was monitoring the cpu process from the task manager and just the AC game takes 99% ++ from it.

I would've streamed it so you can see but it will be useless, I tried it before and the streaming quality was just awful while playing the game. I tried OC-ing the cpu but it didn't really work as I wanted to so yea, I just stopped doin that.

I have older i5 2500K with GTX 1060 6 GB. The game is playable but can't reach 60 fps.

I have a 1060 with an AMD Athlon X4 860K and 8 GBs of RAM. I play on high settings and average 40 FPS. In some areas I get constant 60 and it sometimes dips to 30 but it's still very playable.

Same Setup as yours, GPU slightly OC. Preset on High, 1080p. I get outside of cities 70+ FPS, in bigger cities like Alexandria it goes down to 50-60 FPS, but still smooth.

Yea i run everything on high and textures on ultra, getting 70+fps outside ( vsync on so maybe more) and in alexandria sometimes down to 45 but everything else is more than fine.

Even tho this thread is really old thanks for replies :D

This is good result for your hardware I think, can I ask what system are you using, I heard that on Windows 10 it has better performance?

yea i am using windows 10. But i still have 100% CPU usage in Alexandria.. thats why im not playint atm.. waiting for an update/patch.. cause its due to DRM software.

Ubisoft said you need an i7-6700 (I think or 7700) to run with 60fps and a good graphics card (probably 1060+)

yea they added it after everyone was complaining about DRM stuff. That was their reaction to it.

Maybe im late but i want to buy this game and i dont know can it run well on high 60fps.
GTX 1060 6gb , i5 6500 , 16gb ram, Win10

i5-6600K O/C 4.4GHz, GTX 970 O/C, 16Gb DDR4. Settings are 1080p and max settings.

Uncapped, the FPS can vary from 45 to 80 depending on game location and load but cannot guarantee a minimum of 60 FPS at all times.

For me the game plays fine under 60 FPS and if I did not see the FPS counter on the screen I would be hard pushed to notice a difference.

well you kinda have exactly the same system than me. It is very playable on ultra/high/medium mix. Mostly 60 fps but sometimes they drop to around 50. In some other areas they are 90+ . But CPU is mostly 90-100%. So yes its playable but i would maybe wait till they remove denuvo.

On what settings are you playing?
MugHug Jan 28, 2018 @ 11:34am
The main suspect as the DRM slowing things down is VMProtect.

Considering how well it is working for UbiSoft it is unlikely they will or can remove it (it is integrated into the game code extensively more then Denuvo).
