Female character ?

I do hope i can choose like it was the case in syndicate.

The last assassin creed games gave players the choice between male or female,
now its uncertain, i cant find any good reliable recourse for a playable female character.
They say some parts will be playable with Aya.

(Yes i do prefer to play with a female instead of a male, ''prefer''!! Bayek is ok i guess but still hope to be free like it was in the previous Ac titel)

I'd prefer an actual ancient egyptian given that it is set in ancient egypt. But we cannot really get what we prefer so enjoy the somewhat, but not really, Egyptian looking sub-saharan type guy they picked.

I would prefer a customizable protagonist that can be of either gender, taking on appearance of the present day character. Having every game about twins makes no sense, and I do not like pre-set families in games, so husband-wife, mother-son etc does not really appeal to me. Two partners, and customizable, yeah, that would be great!

I would prefer to play as multiethnical androgynous dwarf that travels backwards through time and who identifies as hippo-related-goddess of destruction and rainbows. goes without saying that xe rides a unicycle. also xem catchphrase is "who`s your daddy", xe needs to say that every three seconds in the voice of a christmas chipmunk.

on a more (or less) serious note: who cares about the gender of the main character in a single player rpg as long as the story is good and suits her/his role within it?

Since the majority of the people buying this game are males, this game will be directed towards males and thus feature a male protagonist. If they were to be able to fit in a custom protagonist while still being able to fit in with the story, that would be great though.
