But he doesn't have an FPS counter on, apparently that is too much to ask of anyone with early copies, I don't know how the F these people get copies when they are obviously not very computer literate.
1440 isn't gonna be good, 35-40ish fps maybe. You don't need 1440p specific info to get to this conclusion...
The thing with that performance report others are stating different users are reporting 100fps with a 1080 at max settings.
The 1080 is better than the 1070 but no way is the performance different between the cards that different 38 fps difference? I don't buy it.
I'll just have to wait and see.
I saw 85 fps average on a gtx 1080 at 1080p, not anywhere near 100 though. The peak FPS yes.
But the 62 fps average on gtx 1070, is just that, the average. There are areas where you have 75 fps, and there are dense areas like the city/forest I suppose where it drops to 50-55 making an average of 62.
Are you on UPlay? If so you can use a VPN to connect to Aussie and the game is already unlocked.
Good thing I have a 7700k with a GTX 1070 and with a1440p Gsync monitor. I should be fine. Sucks I'll miss the release as I work at 4am. Hopefully when I wake up it's too good reviews.
There are a few reviews out, most give it 8-9 and lowest is a 7.
I don't really care much about review websites. User reviews are more accurate as reviewed can be paid off.
Meh if the performance is fine and no crashing then it'll be decent. Probably more of the same, witcher 3esque open world. Doesn't mean that's bad though, probably a 7 to 7.5. Problem with these kind of games is they get repetitive unless they have engaging quests.
If it's like, collect 5 oranges, kill 3 hippo, escort little bono, take out the captain etc then it'll get repetitive quick.
I'm hoping the combat feels responsive and weighty to counteract the boring MMO quests. Sort of reminds me of dark souls light, you can parry too and dodge like in bloodborne.
