Insane Texture Glitches
I've been back to MHW after quite some time, I got my new setup ready and now this happens:

I'm running an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X, RTX 2080 Gaming Super, 32GB RAM
I use about 5.2-5.8 of my 8GB VRAM in my settings.
I also tried to replicate this, but the furthest I got were minor graphical glitches that disappeared over time. These were, but not limited to:
  • Giant green circles for the Scoutflies
  • Terrain colors appearing in giant squares
  • Flickering of the ambient lights
  • Large stripes tearing certain rendered objects

I have to say that Dragon Center is running while I play MHW, and for some reason the GPU usage is listed there through Task Manager. Also my Graphics Card has a 5-pin to 2x 8-pin Power Cord from my 1000W Power Supply. (Nothing is overclocked, CPU is downclocked from 1.45V --> 1.25V)
Edit: Dragon Center has "Gaming Mode" enabled, but I am unsure if it was before or after said picture.

Not sure if this will help, but these are my settings:

General:
Graphics Settings: Highest
DirextX 12 API: ON
Screen Mode/HDR Setting: Full Screen
Resolution: 2560 x 1440 (I have a 4K Screen, 60Hz)
Aspect Ratio: Wide (16:9)
NVIDIA DLSS: ON
DLSS Sharpness: 0.0
FideltyFX CAS + Upscaling: Off
Frame Rate: 60
V-Sync: ON

Advanced:
Texture Quality: Full
Ambient Occlusion: High
Volume Rendering Quality: Highest
Shadow Quality: High
Capsule AO: ON
Contact Shadows: ON
Anti-Alliasing: TAA+FXAA (Can't change that)
LOD Bias: High
Max LOD Level: No Limit
Foliage Sway: ON
Subsurface Scattering: ON
Screen Space Reflection: ON
Anisotropic Filtering: ON
Water Reflection: ON
Snow Quality: High
SH Diffuse Quality: High
Dynamic Range: 32-bit
Motion Blur: ON
DOF: ON
Vignette Effects: Normal
Z-Prepass: ON

Like I said, I have a hard time replicating that what I saw happening in the screenshot. Most of the errors occur when I am neck-deep in action. The screenshot was after my encounter with an Odogaron. I will be running some benchmarks and test now and later, but for now if anyone has a clue.

Edit2: I am running Driver 445.87, should I downgrade to 442.74?

this is tied to the DX12 api, the version that MHW uses is a garbage version. The only way to get around it is to not use DX12.

I have the same problems with the game and it only happens with the DX12 enabled. Its very disappointing how effing bugged this game is. The game even crashes with ANY kind of GPU overclock ( overclocks proven stable in all other games, minus MHW)

Contrary to what tofubyte says, you CAN continue using DX12 if you downgrade your driver.

442.59 is the best choice for this.

Well I'm running ~2076MHz on the core at 1000mV on a GTX 1070 just fine.

Known issue with Nvidia 445.xx drivers - roll back to 442.78 for dx12 with MHW. Nvidia are aware of it, it was in a few games and they’ve released hotfixes that address a couple of them but not yet for MHW.

Additionally, overclocks work fine with MHW. If you see an err12, pull back on the overlock and/or increase voltage.

I have pulled back to 442.59 for now through DDU and Save Mode.
So I'll try tomorrow and see how that holds up.
