Meowlotov Cocktail unlocking problem.

Hello. So, after years, I wasn't able to resolve my problem. I cannot unlock the last Palico Gadget : The Meowlotov Cocktail.

I got all the 10 Gajalakas tracks, the quest is "Completed", I got the reward when I did it. But when I go to Elder's Recess, the Lynian Researcher won't talk to me.

He will continue to say : "By my wiry eyebrows, you've a sharp eye! You're finding Gajalaka doodles left and right!"
"Unless I'm mistaken, there are no doodles left in this area. Try looking in other regions, if you don't mind."

And that's it. I can't get this item, the save reset isn't an option, I got 1k+ hours on this character and won't erase it. Anyone got a idea on how to resolve this ?

Please, be kind, do not post some Google result on "how to do the quest", I tried to go by nighttime, daytime, in expert mode, master, etc.

I just want to know if anyone got the same problem and was able to resolve it or not... I'm kind of desesperate, atm.

Let's investigate this together. Have you tried Talking to him in either Seliana or Astera beforehand?

Make sure the palico's dialogue about the gadgets are also exhausted, to make sure there is no things left to do.

He isn't in Seliana/Astera anymore

That's strange. He should be. He never actually disappears permanently from them.

I just checked, he is in fact in Seliana. But only talking about his picture research

So... he has no requests? If he does, keep talking to him until something pops up about the gajalaka stuff.

When I talk to him, he's saying "I won't have any research requests for tribes that you have not established communication with...", "Visit each region and make friends with the Lynians here, then come and visit me again."

Question, did you actually get all the other gadgets?

What does he mean by that ? Recruiting tailraiders ? Speaking with Lynian Researchers on thoses maps ?

All of them, already lvl 15. I just need this gadget to unlock some quests, on top of that !

And he is still telling you to befriend them? That's a tough one.

I suggest you meet up with the Grimalkynes on each region and see which one is missing something. Make sure that you do what i mentioned about exhausting the palico's dialogue.

Just meet them at their camp. They're pretty easy to find.

How do you exhaust those dialogues ? Just by talking to your palico ?

Yeah. Just talk to it until it has no new lines.

Done for the dialogues. I checked my tribes unity on my Guild card and i'm level 10 everywhre, except Grymalkines, since I cannot reach them, atm.

It isn't actually tied to a specific tribe. Think of it as a name that you can use for the helpful palicoes in the map. So you're good on that department as well.

The last thing is just talk to the Lynian researcher on each region. The problem is getting him to spawn...
