Black Screen at Startup
I took a break from the game in August and never had any issues with the game. I came back to do some last minute prep before Icebourne and was greeted to the game closing itself out after launch. It loads into a black screen, the Windows10 Game Bar notification pops up on the right side and then just closes itself down, with no error code populating afterwards. I checked that I was running the current V168031 of the game, and also that my Nividia drivers we're up to date.

The first thing I did after that was remove all my mods, which were Light Pillars, Max Deco Level Indicator, and Cuter Handler Face. I made sure all traces of my mods that I knew of were removed from the MHW folder, and deleted the nativePC folder before doing a Game Cache Verify through steam.

I finished verifying the game and was still having the same 3-4 second and then shutdown issue.
So I went through and double checked that I didn't have the dinput8.dllr file that's know to cause issues from mods, and it wasn't there. I deleted all the .dllr files in my folder and did another Verify Game Cache. And still had the same issues.
At this point the only thing I knew to do was uninstall MHW and do a clean reinstall which is still crashing.

Same with me. I mean, tbh my spare rig Im trying to set up is older tech but it does meet the requirements. The game also has run in the past so Im surprised by the same black screen and crash you're experiencing. Other games run fine. Update issue? Going to repair/reinstall to see if it fixes it brb
