To help everyone, for people that can not launch Monster Hunter.
I was wondering why everyone is having problems launching Monster Hunter World. I still have not encountered any problems launching it myself but I did try to look for a solution. Hope this helps. "DO NOT TURN OFF ANTIVIRUS"

- Open up Steam, head to "Library".
Right click Monster Hunter, and open properties. At the tabs, look for "Local Files" and verify cache.
Once finished, look for the folder that contains "MonsterHunterWorld.exe" and not the shortcut.
Open up whatever antivirus you have and look for exceptions. Bring out the location of the "MonsterHunterWorld.exe" from the original games folder and add the .exe to the exceptions list.
Restart your computer so your antivirus would launch with the confirmation of the exception.

I hope this was a big help.

Are you using AVG?

heres an idea, how bout i do nothing cuz this game worked 2 days ago and it should still work. so sick of stupid game developers breaking ♥♥♥♥ cuz they cant test anything. this game isnt worth any effort to jump through hoops to get it to work. nothing works to fix it. verify, reinstall, approve through firewall, etc. gg capcom. cant even patch a game.

go to add or remove programs in your control panel and check to see if you have prio or punkbuster installed if you do you'll see it in the list, uninstall those and see if that works, that's what got my game finally running again

If Punkbuster (an anticheat system for a ton of MP games) is causing MHW malware to false flag then MHW has to be the first PC game in the platforms history that forces users not to play other games on their PC just to get it to run. This is absolutely insane

Punkbuster has nothing to do with the issue.
I had people install an anti-virus called "Bitdefender." Seems like that helped.

Hah! That's funny! Bitdefender used to be what caused me issues when Iceborne launched. But hey if it works, it works.

Many people are reporting that uninstalling Punkbuster solved their crashes. It certainly isn’t the cause of ALL the crashes (when it comes to these anticheat exe checks, it could be littlerally anything causing a crash) , but it most certainly seems to be the cause of some of them. If disabling AV doesn’t work for you, check for Punkbuster and uninstall. Just trying to help ppl solve this ridiculous issue on their own systems

Yeah. I do not know, my games always worked fine. I had bitdefender installed so I just had people install the same thing I had.
