If you use Avast and don't want to leave yourself vulnerable, just make an exception.
To do this, open up Avast, press menu in the right top corner, press settings, then exceptions under the general menu, press add exception, press browse and then go to your Monster Hunter World file (for me: E:/Steam/steamapps/common/Monster Hunter World).
This worked for me.
[Fix] I removed loader.dll, dtdata.dll, and loader-config.json from the main game folder, and this seems to have fixed it! I think these are files related to Stracker's loader. If anyone is having issues right now, try this before doing anything else.
Thanks! it totally works! :D <3
Because some people does not have AVAST or any other antivirus appart from Windows defender. What is the point to make 30+ pages of thread and every page is just some idiot pointing out the same response as others. ME TOOO / SAME HERE /BLA BLA ♥♥♥♥

That worked for me and my buddy. We tryed EVERYTHING, and this worked. Enjoy the hunt
If you're not aware, MHW fixed the issue which was related to the antivirus issue some weeks ago, so don't get in a fit if it doesn't apply anymore.
If the antivirus exception thing doesn't work, try to uninstall greenluma (dll, applist, .. )
If you don't know what it is and it still doesn't work, try deleting everything in your steam folder EXCEPT steam.exe and all the folders (so delete the .dll .log .doc .json)
Do it when steam isn't running, then restart it. It should download Just the files it needs
You can also try enabling the steam beta participation
Or delete the .dll and .ini files inside your mhw file, then do an integrity verification on steam
