Unable to hear the voices

Im Unable to hear any of the char voices outside of a cutscene all of the volume settings are fine and the bgm is fine also so what could be wrong

I can hear the voices , but barely. I havent changed my speaker setup from 7.1 surround to stereo. Maybe try that if you have 5.1 or 7.1 ? I will test later.

Yep, this is usually caused by trying to run surround sound on a stereo setup. The game will be playing audio over channels that aren't available, hence why you can only hear some sounds.

Just thought of this , the game does have option for different sound setups pretty sure i saw and i set to home theater or whatever its called.

Also not all of the speech is voiced is it ?

after uninstalling my audio drivers i've gotten the voices to come out of the speakers but its still the same for the headset the one im using is the artemis 933 hopefully this helps someone who's using speakers

I read that they just didn't do the voice overs for the english version, so only the cutscenes have english audio and some of the dialogs have random ass words like them grunting or some ♥♥♥♥

Well, what configuration are you using for that playback device in Windows' sound settings?

i havent messed with any of the settings so their all default but as i said i can now hear the voices when using my speakers for playback but nothing when using my headset even if i change the ingame setting to headset

i dont believe im able to do this with this headset im forced to use the logitech software and i think its only surround

Right-click the speaker icon in the notifications area of your Windows taskbar, select playback devices, then right-click your headset, select 'Configure speakers' and select the correct speaker setup. Alternatively, you can try setting it to stereo.

i've tried messing around in the logtiech app but all i see is a button to turn the surrond off which doesnt do anything

I'm not sure if this is entirely related, but JRPGs often don't voice everything. A lot of the tutorial-related stuff, directions, etc. will be simple text that you click through. Only major plotpoint dialogue and cutscenes are voiced.

(That note is just for passerbys who may click on this thread for mistaking unvoiced sections as bugs. OP seems to have more of a technical problem though.)
