encountered the same problem with my wireless headset. Point was that MHW switched the windows settings for the sound input device to the "Hands Free" Input of my Headphone to be able to record audio for voice chat etc.
When I selected the "Hands Free Version" as my main output device I at least had sound but in a very bad quality.
I just plugged some random headphones in to select them as an device for audio input and then I somehow could select the "stereo" device of my headset and had good quality sound.
My PC speakers still play it perfectly - so I enable them, and disable the headphones. Start the game, notice I have audio, and while the game is running I enable the headset, and disable the speakers - and they work for the duration.
Kind of a half-assed workaround but at least it gets this game's wonderful audio into my ears... Immersion is fantastic in this game, I'm noticing (I'm new) and audio issues are a blight on it's existence. Not sure why I started having them only now, though, I changed no settings, had no updates. Odd... but give this a try if your headset setup is similar to my own.
Dude after half a Year thank you, never noticed that its this stupid synaps programm who is muteing the game xD thx again.
This exact thing. It happened to me when the game first assigned me with the ability to chat after my first mission. It made my Bluetooth headphones the default Input device for sound and all I had to do was disable it for this function. It now plays all of the sounds back perfectly. Ty so much.
@Zaiggen thanks bro!
