Same headphones, no issue. Have you tried changing the audio settings in game? There are different setups, perhaps changing it may help as my default was TV for some reason.

Ye i tryed all in game settings always only get sound on my speakers or no sound, reinstall of the game was useless and i have updated synaps for the headset. I have no clue whats the problem with the headset, never had a problem with with it, when i start other game or music from windowsmediaplayer i have sound on it.

Same issue on my wireless Kinovo headphones. Sound just died everytime I load into game. What's super weird is in the title screen sound is just fine its only when the game starts that the sound dies. I worked around it by connecting my headphones to my TV and force my PC to blast the sound through that.

Wait are the Razer 7.1s Bluetooth? Or are they USB port headphones? Or just standard?

Hey Guys,

encountered the same problem with my wireless headset. Point was that MHW switched the windows settings for the sound input device to the "Hands Free" Input of my Headphone to be able to record audio for voice chat etc.
When I selected the "Hands Free Version" as my main output device I at least had sound but in a very bad quality.
I just plugged some random headphones in to select them as an device for audio input and then I somehow could select the "stereo" device of my headset and had good quality sound.

That is because the Headphones switch on ingame after main screen load, the way I found: Win + R -> and type: mmsys.cpl to execute the Sound config, go to the Recording tab and select your active headset and disable it.

I have had no problems with this until I reached the lost third fleet across the ravine. After that, logging in, my cheap logitech USB headset had no sound when I opened the game. I did find one work-around.

My PC speakers still play it perfectly - so I enable them, and disable the headphones. Start the game, notice I have audio, and while the game is running I enable the headset, and disable the speakers - and they work for the duration.

Kind of a half-assed workaround but at least it gets this game's wonderful audio into my ears... Immersion is fantastic in this game, I'm noticing (I'm new) and audio issues are a blight on it's existence. Not sure why I started having them only now, though, I changed no settings, had no updates. Odd... but give this a try if your headset setup is similar to my own.

This exact thing. It happened to me when the game first assigned me with the ability to chat after my first mission. It made my Bluetooth headphones the default Input device for sound and all I had to do was disable it for this function. It now plays all of the sounds back perfectly. Ty so much.
