Antivirus programs seems to hate this game .

Recently i installed Avira , Malwarebyte and the like , suddenly when i enter the game the whole computer start lagging and even freeze MHW altogether .
Tried to disable Avira only , still have problem , only when i completely remove all anti virus program out of computer that MHW performance return to normal .

Also , i test with several games , from simple games to triple A games , only MHW have this freezing and lagging problem when start the game .

Add MHW folder and the MHW .exe to exceptions in antivirus.

Did you by chance find any way to solve this? I've recently started the game to play with friends and I'm loving it but after a while the game will start to stutter and come to a complete halt nearly.

When I check my processes my antivirus (only windows defender right now) will creep from 100MB usage to up to 10GB through the course of my playtime with them. The only way to return to a stable position is to shut the game down for 10-15 minutes or restart my PC to refresh everything.

So I'm just curious if using the exception works or not?

I brought my desktop to the computer shop , they fixed by removing Avira completely . Currently i am using AVG and the game work great so far .
You should put the game on exception list .

Not hurt trying , but have you put your game in exception list ?
And is Windows defender really your only Anti virus ?

yes and I have it in an exception list. I can't test to see if its still an issue as i'm currently away from home.

Even if you put the game in the exception list in windows defender it only reduces the cpu usage by half.He needs to disable real time scanning while playing this game to fully stop defender from scanning which is a really easy thing to do.
