Randomly freezing and crashing since new update

Recently ever since the new update dropped into MHW: IB, my game has been crashing, freezing and sometimes causing BSODs (even though I believe the BSOD thing could be unrelated) and has overall made the game a worrying experience. I am not quite sure how or why this is happening as the screen just freezes for a brief moment and then just closes back to the desktop.

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to when the crashing and freezing happens, though. Sometimes it will happen in the middle of a hunt (One time I was hunting a Barioth for the Guild Palace weapons and near the tail end of a hunt when I was clutch claw attacking the monster, the game just randomly froze and crashed), another time when I was heading off toward a new quest, the game BSODd on me and another time today, when I was just talking to my housekeeper NPC, the game just froze and crash.

My PC details:

Operating System - Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU - Intel Core i9 9900K @ 3.60GHz (Kaby Lake 14nm Technology)
RAM - 32.0GB
Motherboard - MSI MPG Z390 GAMING PRO CARBON (MS-7B17) (U3E1)
Monitor - AORUS AD27QD PC Monitor(2560x1440@60Hz) w/ HDR ON
GPU - 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER (MSI)
Storage - 167GB INTEL SSDSC2CW180A (SATA (SSD))
Optical Drives - No optical disk drives available
Audio - Realtek High Definition Audio

*Note that my PC has two other HDDs and one SSD where the OS is installed, but my intel SSD is where MHW: IB is currently installed on.

As you can see my PC is well above the recommended system requirements and before this update, this game was running fine. My GPU load and temps were fine and my CPU only hit around 40-60% load while the game was active. Even now, the game doesn't seem to have any load percentage problems like many other people are having but the crashing is still a huge issue.

All of my SSDs have their latest firmware installed and all of my important drivers are up to date, as well as my Windows 10 being up to date.

Yeah, my usb devices seem to be fine. I don't have anything except my amp for my headphones. I have tried verifying the MHW files, as well. At this point, I feel like it's just a programming bug with the latest patch. I never used to have problems like this when Iceborne launched or with the patch that came before the recent one. Either way, I think I'm just going to sit and wait until Capcom adresses the issue.

And yeah I don't know what's up with the crash info from Event Viewer, either.

I got the same or pretty similar problem. My game freezes, then crases with a standard windows error message.
The eventlog looks always like this:

I have problem with crashing too, wrote to support once, they replied next day asking for some files, got back to them with everything they wanted and haven't heard from them since (it's been like a week now). Game right now is unplayable for me

That looks exactly like the error I get. Only my problems started with the most recent patch. Hopefully the Rajang update will fix it.

Wow... After all the trouble I went through with resetting my PC along with replacing both my OS and game storage SSDs with brand new ones, I -STILL- got a BSOD. Though I believe that this one was solely due to me playing MHW.

This is starting to get very frustrating for me.

Opened up a support ticket with Capcom USA. Hopefully they will look into this.

I think the new update might have fixed my crashing issues. I played for a few hours last night without a single crash. Might have just been lucky, though. Will try playing again later today.

Also: I managed to find out what was causing my PC to BSOD like crazy. It was a bloody windows 10 update!

This KB4532595 update is so bad that it's causing total system failure. Someone even had the same symptoms as me.

Another blunder by Microsoft. I would avoid downloading this update, and if you have it already and have problems, remove it immediately.

Please stop blaming peoples' hardware. This has nothing to do with BIOS or drivers.
I haven't changed any drivers or bios settings in the last week.
After latest update, 5 minutes in game and crashes to desktop.

The game just froze my whole pc while it was on the main menu with the lemurs background wtf...I've been playing this game 5+ hours daily for 6 days with no issues and it freezes on the main menu? ok.Had to force restart PC.It's always this game causing ♥♥♥♥.

I believe another patch will be coming in soon. Hopefully it will fix the crashes.

the game started to crash when i try to start a quest, and i cant get the login reward, it just softlocks on that page, am i the only one?

Similar problems here. Iceborne seemed to break the game for me.

i fixed it, my problem is from driver update. so i need to perform a clean install of my graphic driver and it works perfect.
