Unfortunately, for me, no love. This was one of the first things I tried, but the disconnects continued occurring. Lately, as I noted in this thread, I've had success so far by disabling "HiD-compliant" devices besides the HiD-compliant Game Controller within Device Manager under Human Interface Devices.

If you've played Dark Souls on PC, you may be familar with this hack to get faster startup times. In my case, MH:W had both very slow startup times and frequent controller disconnects. Decided to give this a try after reading someone comment that he/she resolved the issue by disconnecting some of their USB peripherals.
In limited play since making these changes, much faster startups and no controller disconnects.

Im using a wired xbox 360 pad
it's pretty annoying, since it makes any sort of fighting game or souls-type game potentially lethal...
