Get and install both the x86 and x64
It doesn't matter that all other games are working. As for reinstalling, the only reason that sometimes works as a fix for certain games isn't because there was necessarily anything wrong with the installation, but that when reinstalling, Steam's "first run" of a newly installed program includes checking and fixing dependencies, like C++ redistributables. That's why if you dig into the directories for many, many games, you'll find the vcredist files.
If reinstalling the C++ redist doesn't help, you can try running Windows System File Checker to fix any potentially corrupt system files.

Though maybe installing the VC was part of the solution.
