Weapon gets put away just after pulling it out
The title say the problem. When I am pulling out a weapon to use the game automatically sheaths it. And yes I already disables auto sheathing in settings. the only way I found around it is if I ALT-Tab and then click to select MHW I have ~70% chance the next time I try to pull oput the gun It stays out.
I have had to change my hunting to allow time for me to tab out and back whenever I am about to attack something.
Am I the only one seeing this issue? I have searched a bit and they only had the issue when auto sheath was still enabled.

I was also having the same issue but after switching to a bow. Never happens which is nice.

It will sheathe if you sprint.
Does the same happen with other weapons?

It happens with the swords and heavy blowguns I have not tried others. Maybe I will try a bow.

This happens to me after opening the reshade window with shift+f2. I found just pressing the shift key twice fixes it.

Are you using a controller? By default both RB AND LS sheathe your weapon and LS can very easily get hit while moving around in a fight. You can change it to only RB in the options.

Drove me ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nuts my first few days.

Thanks. This was the fix for my friend. We got her using a controller now, appreciate the help.
