High GPU usage after some time.
When I restart my PC and run the game, its normal. But after playing for an hour or so, GPU usage starts to rise up to 100%. I looked at Task Manager and the cause the increase of GPU usage are Desktop Window Manager (dwm.exe) and Client Server Runtime Process (csrss.exe)
This caused Fps to drop from 60 to 50 and stuttering occurs too.

Does anyone have similar issues or have a rough idea on fixing this? Thanks.

Edit: Only happens in MHW. Occurs when the GPU usage reaches 100% normally (with Resolution Prioritize, Volume Rendering Quality high, all high settings). Throughout Astera its GPU usage is 70-80%. Until a point in Ancient Forest where the GPU usage goes to 100%, and once it reaches 100%, it never goes down even after restarting game, lowering graphics settings. Only fix I figured out was to reset my entire PC. Even though this happens sometimes when using all low setting without Volume Rendering Quality, high maxed out settings is what I realized that is causing the problem.

Specs:
i7-7700
GeForce GTX 1080 TI (Zotac Amp! Edition Extreme Core)
16GB Ram
Evga G+ Gold 80+ 750w

Here are my Non-Streaming settings and i get perfect 60 frames on a Ryzen 1700 and GTX 980

Volume Rendering is garbage. Foilage Sway imo isn't needed since it uses a lot of CPU too but it looks nice. SH Diffuse Range isn't needed either. Z-Prepass I recommend off if your CPU is bottlenecking. That does Model Streaming between both GPU and CPU. If the CPU is bottlenecking set that to off and the GPU will take care of model streaming.

It's normal for your GPU to be using 100% of its capacity during a game, otherwise it is being bottlenecked in some way.

Yeah I missed the GPU part but yeah the GPU will hit 100% on the Chip load because it's rendering/doing what needs to be done in order for you to get your gameplay. As for the frames being betwee 50-60. That's MonHun for ya. It's unotpimized.

Alright I will try the settings provided. Thanks.

You do realize 100% GPU usage is ideal, not bad, right? 100% CPU usage means you've hit the peak of what your CPU can output and it's maxed out, with the GPU it just means it's doing everything it currently can.

The amount of people who think high GPU usage is bad.. lmfao.

I suppose but I do not think it applies in this scenario, more like the opposite of what you are trying to say. At about 50-60% GPU usage I'm able to get a stable 60 frames. But at some point when my GPU usage rises to 100% which is suppose to be good, gives me stuttering and frames drops instead. Something must be wrong.

Lmfao, good to know you lack understanding of how GPU's and GPU drivers work. I'm not going to try to explain it to you if you're that dense as to ignore 100% of what I said and assume something is wrong.

I'll give you a tip, genius, this game is FAR more CPU bound than GPU bound. There's plenty wrong with the game, a LOT, but 100% GPU usage isn't one of those things.

So is this what you meant?

Jesus christ the man was asking for help xD not everyone in the world of gaming will have the same knowledge as others.

Its ok how he judges me or whoever, I'm not here to argue and I admit I'm not the best. i just want this problem resolved.
