  • HUD fix!!! Yes, after all this time, the HUD is fixed. Except the loading screen. Though everything else is fine. Working on the loading screen :P

  • DX12 does not work - No work planned. The API is too unstable to support in this instance
  • Patching the game while DLSS is on casues graphical corruption - No work planned as I only own a 1080Ti

Changelog
4.0.0
  • Added HUD and blacksmith UI fix
  • Fixed DX12/DLSS error message spelling
4.0.1
  • Fixed issue that could lead to the HUD address cache not working
4.0.2
  • Fixed rare issue that caused mod to break if Windows wrongly reports one valid instance, and one invalid instance of Monster Hunter World on GetProccess();
  • Fixed rare issue that could lead to some users being stuck in a perminant search loop on first run/address range change
4.0.3
  • Fixed rare issue where user is running an outdated graphics_option.ini with no entries for Aspect Ration/UI scale/DLSS/DX12. Because even basic ini file handling is beyond CAPCOM
  • Fixed issue where patching loop occurs when the user tries to patch when they haven't enabled 21:9 in-game

Oof on that 30fps drop just to get 32:9 aspect ratio

Double the pixels, half the framerate. Makes sense, actually.

Sure does, just still a huge cut.

Update:

After spending most of the last (give or take a couple days) week looking into shaders, HLSL, and shader tools, I have managed to dump one of the vertex shaders for the HUD, edit it, and override the original via a .dll proxy.

The edit was simply me breaking the HUD on purpose to see if it worked, and that's as far as I have gotten so far. I hope to have more concrete progress to show you guys very soon.

On a less official note, this is much more progress than I thought I could have made in this time. I'll be honest, on on a bit of a boost right now, and as such, this will be my number one priority for a while.

Thanks. Good luck with that.

Thank you for looking into this and spending you time in giving us 21:9 support! All the best!

Thanks so much! other than that one UI element in the center everything else is perfect.

thanks OP. i wish that you will create an option to allow the hud to stay centred within standard 16:9 viewport so that the i don't have to switch focus to the sides of the ultrawide monitor in order to look at the hud.

this. just like how darksoul3 was when 21:9 applied
it would be sweet

Centered HUD on a 21:9 display is awful. What's the point of having a wider monitor if the HUD is blocking your main view?

The 'super ultrawide' ones I can understand, but they should still be fine at a 21:9 position.

At least, this is how I feel on my 29". If you've got a 35" or something I can understand it being problematic, but I personally can't stand centered HUDs.

Preference. And as stated before, it'd nice to have it as an OPTION.
