Trouble Finding Deviljho Quest

Awhile back I found tracks leading to a deviljho. Upon heading back to the base there was a blue exclamation point over some researchers. I talked to them and accepted some kind of quest or assignment to find / slay the deviljho. I've been trying to find it in my quests but don't see it anywhere. I heard it was a "special assignment but that is grayed out for me. Any ideas?

Once you've unlocked it, It should be in the Special Assignments tab when you go to post a quest.

Yeah I think the quest glitched out for me. Special Assignments are grayed out for me and I'm hr 20 something so I have filled all the prerequisites. Sent capcom customer support a ticket today

I think i may have figured it out. If you talked the to the Jovial researcher guy with the blue ! only once, then you won't have the quest. The first time you talk he tells you to gather tracks (after the cutscene with the commander). You need to go back out and gather tracks. Once you gather enough tracks, you have to talk to him again to be assigned the quest.

I'll give that a try, although it is weird that I would have to gather tracks if I have seen him multiple times. We'll see how this goes
