u got any tipps to get him throught that phase easy?
You can also just run up to him right off the bat and throw him into the gate with your slinger if you don't want to do cannons. Just throw him into walls whenever he lets you.
Focus more on staying alive than doing damage if you're typically more of an aggressive player, and stay close to him. most of his 1 shot moves come from range.
i will try tommorow
thx for the tipps man
Focus on learning the fight, not getting through this one phase so you can access multiplayer. Most multiplayer hunts against Fatalis fail. It does a huge amount of damage with large-area attacks and can cart multiple people very quickly - if you can't beat fatty solo, you will struggle to beat it even with a competent team.
That said:
-the crawling flamethrower Fatty does on all fours is an excelent opening to tenderize the head or chest
-move away from Fatalis to dodge the standing tail whip (end moves faster, requires less precise dodge)
-stand like 10 feet in front of the head and go UNDER fatalis to avoid most attacks - you DON'T want to try to back away to heal because Fatty will start spitting 8000 fireballs in a row.
-the cone breath can be blocked at virtually no stamina cost
-you can double superman dive the cone breath if you don't have a shield
-Fatty has two versions of the tackle-flop going from 2 to 4 legs: there's a version where you knock them over and they flail, and another where Fatty tries to squash you intentionally. The second one recovers much faster than the first.
-Every 1/3rd of their head health Fatalis will flinch - you can use this to track how close you are to a break
For strategy, keep close and avoid ALL of its charged attacks like the plague. Charged fireballs can kill you in one hit, even if you have great resistances and Defense. Hell, I recall getting wrecked by it once while having 28 Fire resistance, 1100~ Defense and with the Fireproof Mantle. I was pretty tilted until I remembered that even fireballs are mostly made up of physical damage, so that's what must've gotten me despite my maxed-out armor. Now, that's an exquisite joke from Capcom. Anyway. Just don't risk it like I did, and you will live to fight another day.
The cone flame he can spew is a good opening. Don't waste it. If you end up inside it, you can survive by "superman diving" twice. You will get hit by some of it while trying to do the second dive, but it sure beats dying to it. His body slam can be deadly due to the knockdown, so don't get greedy while under him. Always maintain escape opportunities in case he does some of his "exploding ground" attacks, as well. Try to hit the head whenever possible.
The entry requirement is deceptively low for the other Fatalis quests, by the way. The "real" requirement is roughly around MR 150 to 200. Not MR 24. You will have a much better time if you practice, grind earlier monsters and make a coherent build before moving on. There is a reason why Fatalis and AT Velkhana are the ultimate challenges. They aren't meant to be taken lightly. Do solo runs and make a decent build before attempting to do it in multiplayer (if you play multiplayer at all).
good to know thanks a lot
