How does this play on Steam deck?

I was wondering if you can play on pc and steam deck with one character save, or are they separate games on each.

I can't confirm, but I'm fairly positive it will work out.

The game uses Steam Cloud Saves, so as long as you can connect to the internet once in a while to upload it, it should work for both platforms.

You can go to YouTube and check how good it runs. This video shows 30-40FPS. Not sure how it will fare in more demanding places like Hoarfrost Reach, although I imagine it will still be playable.

As long as cloud save is on and synced, you can play the same character(s).

Been playing back and forth between PC and Deck for the past month and it works great out of the box, locked FPS to 40 without much tinkering, some drops to the mid 30s during hectic hunts, but other than that, pretty stable 40. Might get more if you tinker with the settings, but I never did bother. Did not reach Iceborne yet so don't know how the performance is there yet.

The battery lasts for around 2 hours if I'm not mistaken, high settings locked to 40 fps, performance is satisfactory.

It has cloud saves. On the OLED I get 60fps at 720p hand held, and around 40 to 50 FPS docked at 1080p.

4K drops it to 10 FPS. Hope this helps.

Awesome reply guys. Appreciate it. I bought this on ps4 and went to rise and mhgu. Rise was to easy as mhgu is fun,hard but lacking in some things. I saw the sale and couldn't resist being able to get up to Icebourne which is where I left off on prgression. I bought it and played last night, having no issues so far but then again it takes 50 hours to get to the good stuff,lol
