Can someone educated me on the mods in Nexus?
So Im just noticing that there are mods for Monster hunter Worlds and rise.
I just recently bought the game on Fanatical so just happen to see it now

At the time I was debating to get the deluxe Kit. But now that I see mods for it. Whats the point?

If I were to install the different types of armor from the mods. Will others see my armor? or am I missing something?

I don't think so. The mods replace default armors in the game, I believe. Anyone playing with you who doesn't also have the same mod installed will only see the vanilla version.

There are some mods that that add markers for loot that drops on the ground so it's easier to see. And other mods that might add more info to the map or monster icons.

But people using appearance mods are mostly just role-playing for their own amusement.

No one will see your modded armors ,if you use cheat armors most people will kick you from sessions , no one will also see any effects you got from mods or any modded quests you got.
Also the only things you need in this game is the base game and the iceborne expansion.
Cosmetic mods can only be seen by you. You want humongous sizes and proportions? All yours, boss. You want to add an extra appendage to all monsters? We got a mod for that. You want to wear your birthday suit while hunting? Can do. You name it, we have it.

You can gain all preorder/deluxe armor sets via mods. You can't unlock other DLCs such as stickers and gestures, unless you buy them or do some advanced stuff that might violate Steam's rules. Like using a DLC unlocker or something. Most "DLCs" are cosmetics, and the non-cosmetic ones (the editing vouchers) can be cheated in easily. Buy (or don't buy) what you like, and forget about the rest.

I had to dig up a bunch, and finally managed to find one of my older posts which explains everything about the DLCs. You can find it here, if you are interested.

Finally, you can check the guide below if you want to find mods easier. I didn't list purely cosmetics mods unless they had some functionality to them, so you'll have to find them yourself on Nexus Mods. I did list close to everything that is worth mentioning, though.

Basically, it's a waste of money. Not to mention, they should have been free in the first place.

1. It was limitied in numbers and given you're very likely make your hunter nose look weird on the first try or felt uncomfortable later on, its not good.

2. Same goes to Palico

3. You had to dish out real money for edit ticket.

Its not that its vital, all you gotta do is make sure your hunter ain't that mangled to begin with or just wing it. But then again your head most likely covered in helmet if you made male hunter.

there are 2 mods (third party) software that i know able to do this without having to use the edit voucher.

however both software is more of a "Save File" editor.
which is kinda cheaty? if ur not finished the game yet. other than editing appereance, it also can edit ur game stats, rank, play hour, items in stash and pouch, etc (im not gonna mention this mod better look for urself)

if anyone just wanna change appereance tho i suggest the "MHW Appereance Editor" Mod, if u don't wanna bother to change anything items related. basically everything on the mhw character creation but with some extra stuff.

u can still change ur name or ranks and edit ur zenny + research points with this 1 tho
(which if ur still not done yet completing the game i don't recommend to use this feature yet for the sake of ur purist playthrough)

also always keep a backup of ur save files just incase something unfortunate happen, most visuals and models mods often don't break save files, but just for safety always create a copy.
